Out last night with my telescope- fabulous dark skies in the Pyrenees. Got great views of Mars, andromeda galaxy and the ring nebula before the clouds came in! Better luck needed next time…
Abandoned chairs on a terrace above Abdet offer an unlikely resting point to watch the sunrise. We usually have a pre dawn start during our walking holidays as moments like this are unforgettable! #walkingholidays #hikingtrip #costablanca #alicante #spain
What a great year it has been for us in 2016. We have enjoyed continued growth for Hike + Bike and had the pleasure of guiding many people from all walks of life and from across the world. We have ended our season early this year, our last tour was completed yesterday and we are now preparing ourselves for our own personal event. We are getting married in December and leave for England in a couple of days time. We would like to say thank you to all our customers over this year and hope to see you again in the future.
We will be having a drink in the Almocobar bar on Friday night from 8:00pm and it would be nice to see anyone who knows us for a quick drink before our departure. If you can’t make it on Friday then we will bid you a Merry Xmas and see you in the New Year.

Last night I visited Bodega Pablo in the Cariñena wine region just south of Zaragoza with the Huesca wine club. Really interesting visit around this small family bodega. Great wines including one grape called vidadillo that is only cultivated in that area with only 30 hectares planted. The evening finished with a 20 course (yes that’s right 20!) meal. I went with George and Annie who run wine tasting evenings for our hiking groups in the summer.
Lovely autumn day in Biescas – out cycling with the kids. Quite a lot of snow in the higher mountains
