Back on the 13th February I found what I was 99% certain was a Richards Pipit on my local patch at Huétor Tajar but when I returned with the camera it had gone. Later that day and the next morning I returned to the field with out any luck but on the afternoon of the 14th I found a 1st winter Red-throated Pipit at the same spot, a new bird for my Spanish list and the first 1st winter of this species I have seen anywhere.
